About the role

Define the mechanical architecture and structural systems for O-ID's robots. Lead the mechanical engineering team across actuation, structure, optimization, and modularity. Design systems with scalability, reliability, and manufacturability in mind. Collaborate with electronics, software, and supply chain teams. Mentor junior mechanical engineers. Contribute to technical decision-making at the company level.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and systems design
• Proven track record leading mechanical engineering teams
• Deep knowledge of robotics, actuators, and mechanical systems
• Excellent CAD and simulation skills (Fusion 360, ANSYS, or equivalent)
• Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Experience with modular and scalable product design
